I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing

Jam's recognition program followed Geel's graduation. And once again, I'm the proudest mama in the whole wide world. She got silver medal and the most obedient award. She's really following my footsteps LOL. I once got the most obedient award during my elementary days too, even if it's kinda hard to believe hehehe.

And she even sang "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" (Aerosmith's version) in one of the intermission numbers. All I can say is that, like mother like daughter... trying hard LOL!

Happy Graduation Geel!

Giving the Valedictory Speech

Today marks the end of your elementary days, but every ending will lead to a new beginning. As you enter your high school life, you will meet new friends, adjust to new environment, and face new & exciting challenges. You might excel or you might fail, but know that we will be there... from the beginning till the end... with you.

Congratulations little sis, being the top of the graduating class is not an easy task to achieve. We are so proud of you and we love you. Keep up the good work!

TV

I am not much of a TV addict, but my family sure is. They love to watch news, drama series, sports, and movies in all types after a hard-days work. We have a cable connection at home, but I think it's still not enough for them (not to mention the fact that it goes out of service sometimes). Now I am seriously thinking of giving them a much better alternative to cable.

When I heard about Direct TV, "what is that?" was the first question that came into my mind. So I looked it up and found that it is a digital multi-channel television service provider delivering all digital-quality channels so you can enjoy your favorite TV shows in high-definition. They offer more channels in crystal-clear resolution for a much lesser cost than your cable and dish network provider can ever give you.

Another great feature about DirecTV is that you can record your favorite TV programs or movies straight to your Digital Video Recorder (DVR), so you can watch it all over again anytime and everytime you want! So if you want to enhance your TV viewing experience, you better see it for yourself and click on Direct T V, they have special packages that are budget-friendly.

Kids Love Dora

Almost all kids love Dora. Jamjam and Arena are just crazy about her and her stuffs. But I don't have any objections, coz she's a good role model for them. She teaches them to learn and to have fun and adventure while doing it. It's just great, plus the kids get to learn a little Spanish. Aloha!

Art Lover

I remembered too well when I was in Taiwan 5 years ago. We visited the Chiang Kai Shek temple and there I've seen lots of ancient Chinese artifacts every art lover would love to see. When I saw Cao Yong's magnificent paintings on his website, I can't help but be awed and mesmerized by his works. Each painting vibrates with life and beauty, just one look and you can never forget the images.

So if you are a lover of the arts, you should check out his pieces. I tell you, he's worth every minute of your time and every cent of your money. He was not appointed
"Official Artist for the 2008 Olympics" for nothing.

The Time Has Come

The long wait is finally over, I am now together with my family and my baby Jam. I just couldn't explain how I felt at the airport. I was so overwhelmed with sheer happiness that it faded out the whole year of my loneliness.

When Shushu drove me to the airport (in Dubai), I felt so sad also. This is the first time we're separated for quite a long time. And he was crying. I promised myself I will not cry, but seeing him just torn my heart apart. So I did cry at the airport, in the middle of too many strangers, but I didn't care. He told me he wanted me to be happy with my family, especially with Jamjam.

I just hope he won't be too sad when I'm away. But everytime he calls me, he's crying and it makes me cry too. I'm really getting overemotional nowadays, whew!

Time Of My Life

I watched (for the second time since a decade ago) Dirty Dancing featuring Patrick Swayze. And now I can't get off the song out of my mind. I was singing it everywhere, even as I was feeding those tiny neonates! I wonder what they were thinking? Just glad they don't know how to talk yet LOL. So I'm sharing this song with you, I hope it would keep replaying in your mind too...

Now I've had the time of my life
No I never felt like this before
Yes I swear it's the truth
and I owe it all to you

'Cause I've had the time of my life
and I owe it all to you

I've been waiting for so long
Now I've finally found someone
To stand by me

We saw the writing on the wall
As we felt this magical fantasy

Now with passion in our eyes
There's no way we could disguise it secretly
So we take each other's hand
'Cause we seem to understand the urgency

just remember

You're the one thing

I can't get enough of

So I'll tell you something

This could be love because

(CHORUS)
I've had the time of my life
No I never felt this way before
Yes I swear it's the truth
And I owe it all to you
'Cause I've had the time of my life
And I've searched through every open door
'Til I found the truth
And I owe it all to you

With my body and soul
I want you more than you'll ever know

So we'll just let it go
Don't be afraid to lose control

Yes I know whats on your mind
When you say:
"Stay with me tonight."

Just remember
You're the one thing

I can't get enough of

So I'll tell you something

This could be love because

(CHORUS)
'Cause I had the time of my life
No I've never felt this way before
Yes I swear it's the truth
And I owe it all to you
'Cause I've had the time of my life
And I've searched through every open door
Till I found the truth
and I owe it all to you

*Instrumental*

Now I've had the time of my life
No I never felt this way before

(Never Felt this way)

Yes I swear it's the truth
and I owe it all to you

'Cause I had the time of my life
And I've searched through every open door
Till I've found the truth
and I owe it all to you

'cause I've had the time of my life
No I've never felt this way before
Yes I swear it's the truth
And I owe it all to you

Road Runner

Nothing can be cooler than to drive a car with your own personalised plate numbers on. I've been meaning to get one for our car, but it is just so expensive in the Philippines. In the light of the recent crisis, it's very impractical to spend about Php 20,000 just to be cool and trendy.

But if money is not a problem to you, by all means visit Northumbria Numbers a.k.a "The Secret Kingdom". They've been providing hip and cool Personalised Number Plates all across England for more than a decade now. With their user-friendly website, you will never get lost. Everything is just a click away. And if that's still not enough, you can always call their toll free numbers to speak with a customer service representative. Everything is provided. Your job is just to decide. And so far, all of their customers drove with a huge smile of satisfaction.

How I wish I could easily spend my hard-earned money for the things I like. I planned my plate to be JAM 403 (from my daughter's name and birthdate) or MAY 522 (from my name and birthdate), what's yours gonna be?

No More Lonely Nights

Don't be fooled by my title, just wanted to give a little drama to this post LOL. Actually, my night duties are over, three more morning duties and I'm off to vacation at last! I'm so freakin' excited!

When I came to duty last night, the ward and the unit were beyond hectic. And I can't imagine how I will get through the night. Fortunately I managed to serve three masters (Paediatric Ward, NICU, and PICU) simultaneously. And mind you, they are not located close to each other. PICU is on the 1st floor, while PW and NICU are on the ground floor.

Anyway, I have to use my ultra super powers to run everywhere I'm needed. What a night!

Look Good, Feel Good

I've always wanted to have my breasts augmented, this is one thing I'm not shy about. We all have a choice, and if it makes me feel good and beautiful, I'm surely going for it. But there's the issue of side effects and budget.

Every surgery entails some risks however simple the procedure is. One can never be too sure. But we can take extra care and precaution by trusting the best. And one of the best in the world is MYA in UK. They offer the best and safest Breast Surgery across the globe. And with their team of highly trained and experienced professionals, you can be rest assured you'll have the results you wanted.

I'm sure many celebrities and famous people will travel the long way just to experience their unsurpassed services. I know coz I'd like to do the same.

What's On My Mind

I always believe that in life if you believe in One Superior Being, love your family and friends to the core, and don't do harm to other creatures (be it human, animal, plants, mother nature, etc.), then there's a good chance of reserving one place in heaven when your time finally comes. But is it really enough? Now I wonder if I should do more than that.

Though I'm far from my self-actualization stage, I wonder if I should start giving a part of me to those who need it most. I'm always thinking that my family needs me most, so I have to do everything to give them a comfortable life, but are we really just confined to our own family? How about those children who never felt and experienced the warm love only a family can provide?

I believe that I am worthy of more from what I am right now, I just need more time to establish my own life so I can reach out and help others later. And that I will do, surely.

Dream Car

It has been my childhood dream to own and drive a luxury car, even before I knew how to drive. I don’t know why but every time I see one, I just couldn’t resist imagining what it feels like to be maneuvering the wheel and speeding into the highway.

But as the prices of gasoline and oil continuously rising to peak levels, people are now considering alternative resources in terms of transportation. Have you heard about electric cars? Well, I’ve heard this one a while ago but it’s not so clear to me as to how could it possibly work. So I looked it up and found out that electric cars use electric batteries which can be rechargeable instead of using internal combustion engine found in old-fashion gasoline cars. Sounds cool right? It cannot replace gasoline cars in a flash though, but I’ve read that it’s making good reputation in the automobile industry nowadays.

And the newly opened Byd Co Ltd Electric Cars is not wasting time in promoting their new topmost BYD Cars. Having conducted several international auto shows, it won’t be long until this company will make a significant mark in the automobile industry. If you want to know more about their electric cars and recent auto shows, follow the link above.

Love Letter From Belle

I was so touched this morning, my very good friend Belle handed me a piece of paper containing this poem:

Whatever your cross, whatever you pain
There will always be sunshine, after the rain...
Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall
But God's always ready, to answer your call...
He knows every heartache, sees every tear
A word from His lips, can calm every fear...
Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night
But suddenly vanish, by dawn's early light...
The Savior is waiting, somewhere above
To give you His grace, and send you His love...

It lightened my mood up and put a smile on my face. Really, it was such a nice way to start one's day. Thanks so much Belle, mmmwah!

Keep Up The Good Work Arena!

I’m so proud of my niece Arena, she just finished her very first year at school, and look what she got: a bronze. Not bad for a start. My sister must have been twice as proud. She’s a very witty and smart kid, though very naughty most of the time, I love her to pieces.

I’ll buy her an educational laptop for kids as a reward for her good work at school. I know she’ll like it so much coz she’d been nagging me to buy one for her. I really can’t wait to go home. I miss each member of my family.

Too Much Tension

Gemini (May 20 - Jun 20)
Urgent as decisions involving elements of your work or lifestyle seem, you're actually in a cycle of questioning, not action. It's just that the recent full moon put everybody on edge. Instead of ignoring the resulting emotional dramas, seek out their source.

***It's true, I'm in the middle of too much tension this week. What with disappointments at work, current issues of Shushu, and my impending vacation. It's a mixed emotion: happiness, excitement, boredom, etc. I guess I just have to be strong and deal with it.

Aries (Mar 20 - Apr 18)
Obviously, you're not thrilled with circumstances that force you to make changes in elements of your daily routine, work or certain already burdensome obligations. But with your ruler Mars moving to accent such matters, changes are inevitable.

Taurus (Apr 19 - May 19)
Confusion and seemingly unfair reversals in existing plans are about highlighting problems that you're not aware of. Understand that and instead of being annoyed you'll begin asking questions. Some answers come swiftly, others take time.

Cancer (Jun 21 - Jul 21)
After a period of uncomfortable questioning, you finally begin to benefit from what you've learned. This begins with situations whereby you're able to stand up to certain organisations or individuals. Explore everything; don't rush into making decisions.

Leo (Jul 22 - Aug 21)
Changes would mean altering elements of your life you regard as part of your character. Actually, that's good. While these define you, they're also more restrictive than you realise. Instead of rejecting or battling changes, at least give them a try.

Virgo (Aug 22 - Sep 21)
You can cope with almost anything as long as you understand it. But the odd personal issues and unreasonable attitude of others are as perplexing as they are unsettling. Forget about analysis. The answers you need will come from trusting your intuition.

Libra (Sep 22 - Oct 22)
Having struggled to organise certain arrangements obviously you're not thrilled when sudden events change everything. Once you're actually reviewing the circumstances you're dealing with, you realise they've evolved so quickly that an update is timely.

Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 20)
Don't misinterpret sudden developments or the behaviour of those on whom you rely. Actually, they're part of a cycle of change that you're still refusing to recognise. Going with the flow may run counter to your nature, but this time it is to your advantage.

Sagittarius (Nov 21 - Dec 20)
Others may be complaining nonstop about the disruption changes are causing. True, there's chaos. Instead of ignoring these, delve into them. What you learn explains why you'd avoided certain people and activities and stuck so ferociously to others.

Capricorn (Dec 21 - Jan 19)
Because you try to learn from even challenging situations, you're probably already asking why certain individuals or events intimidate you. The more you delve into this, the more you'll learn. The only problem is that pressure to make decisions could distract you.

Aquarius (Jan 20 - Feb 18)
Fairness is so fundamental to your philosophy that you wouldn't even consider an option that shortchanges others in any way. But now you must do that, mostly because certain situations are out of balance and this will help equalise them.

Pisces (Feb 19 - Mar 19)
Even the toughest Piscean has a strong sentimental streak. However firm your resolve, the sight of somebody suffering changes everything. But now you must be tough. Next Friday's encounter between Mercury and Saturn gives you the clarity and power to do it.

Just Compensation

Recession has affected almost all employees as well as employers around the globe. And frankly, most companies are taking advantage of the crisis to cut on their manpower costs. Though we really can't blame them because of the current situation, still they need to be just and fair in dealing with their workers. We have the right to be justly compensated even during a worldwide economic crisis, and if you don't know this then Chicago workers compensation attorneys are just the right guys for you.

Happy Anniversary To Me

Today I am officially one year old in Welcare Hospital. Had it been a year already? Sometimes I feel like time is moving in a flash, but most of the times (especially if I'm thinking about and missing Jamjam so much) it feels like I've been here forever.

But anyway, I am beyond excited now that my vacation is really near. Two more grueling weeks with sleepless nights and I'll be with my baby, the very reason of my being. I missed her so much, it's unexplainable. Whew, I just hope it will be March 25 already!

Stick to your vision

Gemini (May 20 - Jun 20)
You're walking that fine line between sticking to your vision of certain goals and acknowledging what such achievements would require in terms of time and effort. While Wednesday's full moon intensifies anxieties, it also gets you talking about those doubts.

Aries (Mar 20 - Apr 18)
Don't just brush off complications involving relationships. Begin asking questions and you'll realise problems are due to past misunderstandings. Time-consuming as unravelling these may be, clearing the air avoids potential dramas around the full moon.

Taurus (Apr 19 - May 19)
Initially you struggle with the fact that in many situations you're not in control. This is compounded by the changes taking place. Leaving things to others isn't easy. Obviously, they want the best for you and are better informed so they will make wise decisions.

Cancer (Jun 21 - Jul 21)
Having your convictions challenged isn't always a pleasant experience. Now, however, the resulting discussions force you to seek out important facts and analyse what exactly you intend to achieve. This is timely, since you'll be making changes soon.
Leo (Jul 22 - Aug 21)
Initially you'll regard this week's changes as a nuisance. True, they'll throw existing plans into chaos. But they also open the door to unexpected and exciting options. Though Wednesday's full moon boosts anxieties, try to explore everything.
Virgo (Aug 22 - Sep 21)
You're under pressure from all sides. While decisions will have to be made, your first priority must be tackling the emotional matters that peak around Wednesday's full moon. Distracting as these seem at the time, what you learn more than justifies delays.
Libra (Sep 22 - Oct 22)
Your primary concern about sudden and perhaps enforced changes in elements or your work is the effect it will have on others. Instead of worrying, explain. They'll understand and that will give you room to deal with your own anxieties.
Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 20)
Don't misinterpret the seemingly bizarre actions or elusive attitude of others as a sign that things have gone wrong. Being an instinctive diplomat, you'll soon figure out how best to approach and encourage open discussion of even delicate matters.
Sagittarius (Nov 21 - Dec 20)
The changes currently taking place have long been in the air, but they're swifter and more far-reaching than you'd imagined possible. While things are going well enough that you're not alarmed, others are. Your biggest challenge is to reassure them.
Capricorn (Dec 21 - Jan 19)
Between discovering that certain individuals haven't understood your intentions and the sudden changes in circumstances that are throwing things into chaos, you'd think you're in for a disastrous week. Actually, your real challenge is keeping your cool.
Aquarius (Jan 20 - Feb 18)
Imposing your will on others isn't usually your style. But events force you to clarify what you're happy with and what's unacceptable. If there's any challenge, it's that with things moving so swiftly there's no time for discussion. You've to follow your instincts.
Pisces (Feb 19 - Mar 19)
Yet again the dramas of partners are interfering with your own plans or pursuits. Perhaps this is good timing as it gives you an excuse to stand your ground, once and for all. Much as you're dreading this, others will bow gracefully to your demands.

The Round Table

A house is never a home without interior decorations. And the most traditional way of decorating your home is filling it with lovely and useful furnitures. Furniture From Home, an online furniture store with great record of service and quality, will assist you in making your house cozy and elegant.

From bedroom furniture to living room furniture, name it and they have it. They are also offering stylish kitchen furnitures. I love these oval dining tables where you can sit around in circle with your family while having the best meal and conversations everyday!

The Concert King

I love his voice and the funny way he talks. And I'm so excited that the Concert King himself, Mr. Martin Nievera, will grace us with his voice here in Dubai on March 6, 2009 at Zabeel Park (wonder where that is LOL), but I will surely find out. Performing with him will be Sheryn Regis, who is known as the Crystal Voice of Asia. I don't like her that much though.

Tickets will be at Dh65 (free seating) and Dh150 (VIP). For more information, contact 043967825/0504777189/0503903283. See you there!

Steal Legally

I'm going home in less than 3 weeks and I haven't bought everybody tokens from this sizzling city Dubai. I'm really running out of time, and budget LOL. So I'm sure gonna look for cool and stylish discount products.

I even tried to shop online.Guess what I found? The Daily Steals. This is a fun online store where you can get the best of everything at very low prices. The store has a touch of humor, you will be addicted to visit and shop at their site regularly. It's so unfortunate that they are not accepting orders from outside the US, but maybe the Master Thief will broaden his horizon in the near future. If that will be the case, I'll be one of his first customers.

Childhood Dream

Who never dreams to go to Disney Land? I bet all kids and kids-at-heart dream to be able to see and experience the wonders and fun of Disney Land at one time in their lives. I'm seriously planning to bring Jamjam there, just the two of us (due to budget constraints LOL, I do love to bring all of my family though). The nearest to the Philippines and the most affordable is the Hongkong Disneyland. I've searched the web and I found out that Cebu Pacific Airlines is offering a fun package of 3days/2nights @ barely Php 7,000 per person. Hmmm, sounds very interesting and cheap.

Well I might as well start to save for this big holiday. I can only imagine how Jamjam will be overjoyed and excited. This is a surprise, so until then it will be our secret.

Acobay: Sharing all the best stuff!

It is human nature to connect or get close to those people we like. Especially if we share common interest in life's perspectives and philosophies, hobbies, sports, etc. Before we were just confined to those we meet in our neighborhood, at school, and at church communities. But now as the new millennium took its complete turn, all of the best high technologies made the world even smaller. Now you can reach as far as the other side of pole without leaving your home through the internet. For me, this is the best thing technology had ever made. It does not just give you all the information you need, but most of all, it connects people... home... lives. I cannot imagine being away with my daughter for this long without seeing and hearing her even in a webcam. Truly, I'm so thankful to all the geniuses out there who made this possible.

There are numerous social networking sites out there in the web which offers exciting opportunities to meet people (even strangers at that) whom you can share your interest with. From entertainment to sports, education to household stuff, electronic gadgets to the best places to travel! But not all of them are the same. Others offer the good stuff, but Acobay offers only the best stuff on the planet! I specifically like their tag line: Enjoy... Exploring. Showing. Networking. You can explore to see what's hip and new in the world nowadays. Show them what you got. And connect to those who have cool stuff like you do. If you want to purchase a certain product, you can even get advice from those who already have them. That way, buying the bad stuff will be unlikely.

Yes, I already signed up as a registered user, and to tell you this place is amazing. I kept coming back to the Destinations page, here you can look up the best destination for your next holiday trip. With Acobay, you can never get enough... you'll be coming back for more.

Wanted: Ben Ten

I've been looking all over Dubai for Ben Ten Omnitrix watch, all to no avail. My baby Jamjam so wanted to have this watch that I want to give her this as her birthday present. This is how it looks...

Yeah I know it looks something like toys for the boys, but what can I do, Jamjam likes it so much! And how huge would it look on her tiny wrist too!

Well as it seems, this cool watch will help you fight the forces of evil ! The Omnitrix F/X is the watch that the main character Ben Tennyson in the popular Cartoon Network TV show wears when he transforms into one of the 10 aliens he becomes to fight the forces of evil threatening the earth. The Omnitrix F/X signals the activation and de-activation modes of the watch with cool sound effects and red and green lights.

When I was in the Philippines, I used to watch cartoon series with my daughter, but now that I'm so far away from her, I don't know these stuffs anymore. Well I just hope I can buy this one before I go home, or maybe I'll just shop online... my last resort.

Gorgeously Prengnant

I still remember my own pregnancy 9 years ago, it feels like it was just yesterday. It was a tough one, I had hyperemesis gravidarum (excessive vomiting, like I was vomiting more than 20 times a day), which could be dangerous to my health and to my growing baby inside. Good thing my OB is an expert, she guided me through my pregnancy. On the other hand I was lucky, because I didn't have skin problems. My face was flawless due to the hormonal changes which normally takes place when a woman is pregnant. Hormones can be your best friend, but be careful because if you are unlucky, it could be your worst enemy.

But due to the advent of science and technology nowadays, you don't have to worry anymore. The beauty industry has not been left out when it comes to high technology. In fact, Beaute de Maman offers health and beauty products that are made of pure and natural ingredients, so it 100% safe and effective for expectant mothers. Their team of board-certified obstetricians developed these amazing beauty and health products, and they are targeting problems specifically related to the physiological and hormonal changes suffered by pregnant women. This beauty line is so trusted in the beauty industry that hollywood moms-to-be are using it!

So if you want to stay beautiful and healthy while carrying the most important person in your life inside your womb, order now and see the difference.
