This should happen!

Gemini (May 20 - Jun 20)
The talk of new ideas and changes that would reshape your career or lifestyle is both dramatic and far-reaching. Within weeks the potent alliances between the Sun, Jupiter and Saturn will begin turning these ideas into very real shifts.
***I can't wait for this to happen, I'm so so so excited. I've been waiting for quite some time, but I know I have to be more patient. Good things happen to those who wait... patience is a virtue. And all will happen in good time. But I sure hope it would be soon!

Aries (Mar 20 - Apr 18)
You like to make your own decisions, so could regard others' control irritating. But with Jupiter and Saturn forming a series of stunning aspects between now and mid-September, what seems ideal could be later replaced by amazing ideas – introduced by others.

Taurus (Apr 19 - May 19)
Ordinarily you'd stand your ground with certain unreasonable individuals. But now they're a distraction, so simply state your case and move on. You've more profitable things to concentrate on. Explore everything, since there's no telling which option will be more appealing.

Cancer (Jun 21 - Jul 21)
You trust others. Still, they're taking too long settling on a plan and you want to know their intentions. Not only would you regret forcing issues, fixing plans now would actually hold you back. Muster the faith to wait and by midweek you'll have been rewarded.

Leo (Jul 22 - Aug 21)
Rising above others' squabbles is always wise, but that's particularly true now. They'd only distract you when planetary activity, this week and the next, involving the Sun, Jupiter and Saturn, suddenly advances existing options and brings new opportunities.

Virgo (Aug 22 - Sep 21)
Bickering achieves nothing, so make your views or demands known, then walk away. Focus on the insights that accompany Saturday's new moon. The clearer your future objectives are, the wiser your reaction to the resulting thrilling developments will be.

Libra (Sep 22 - Oct 22)
You must express your views, especially with Mars, Mercury and Venus all in your sign. Yet, bizarrely, decisions aren't up to you. Frustrating as this is, eventually, you'll be more than happy with how the major changes currently unfolding have gone.

Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 20)
What seem like questions about your opinion could be drawing you into disputes. Or perhaps you're already involved and must now withdraw. Even this is tricky, since you simply can't have the last word. But it actually frees you to focus on worthwhile developments.

Sagittarius (Nov 21 - Dec 20)
The events of September's first half take ideas discussed earlier this year to the next stage, which is both exciting and a relief, as you've been getting impatient. However, this planetary activity involving Jupiter will be repeated in late November.

Capricorn (Dec 21 - Jan 19)
You prefer to know where you stand and what you're facing, so find the mix of insights and tough news that comes with Thursday's encounter between the Sun and Saturn a relief. It also clarifies what must go, which is perfect timing for next week's golden opportunities.

Aquarius (Jan 20 - Feb 18)
With the practical and financial matters accented by Saturday's new moon, you'll want to investigate your options, then make swift decisions. When it comes to ideas, however, exploration is more important than decision-making. Take your time to explore.

Pisces (Feb 19 - Mar 19)
Waste no time seeking concrete solutions. Remember that, and you'll avoid what would otherwise be this coming week's biggest distraction. Discuss options as they arise. Developments this week seem final until next week, when events are even more exciting.

So Disconnected

I've been so disconnected from the world (and from my blogger friends) for 3 days now. I don't know why our internet connection kept on bugging me these days. I can't update my blog everyday, can't visit my friends'pages, can't read my emails!

And worst of all, I can't talk and see my baby Jamjam, oh I miss her so much! It's been a week since I talked to her last. Text messages aren't just enough. Hope to catch her after school today, and hoping more that my connection will not turn it's ugly back on me!

Crazy About Sea Foods

I really love seafood ever since childhood. Every time my mom would prepare a seafood recipe, you’d always found me sitting across the dining table ahead of the others (and the last one to leave!). Home cooked seafood recipes are not only delicious, you know they are healthy because you made it yourself. No excessive and overused oils, cleanly prepared, and fresh to the last bite.

Among all seafood varieties, shrimps are my all-time favorite. That’s why when I stumbled upon www.GreatAmericanSeafoodCookOff.com on the internet and saw this mouth-watering picture…

...I couldn‘t navigate away from the page!

They called it Texas Gulf Shrimp (over hominy cakes with heirloom tomato relish drizzled with prickly pear antique), obviously this seafood originated from the State of Texas, as the name implies LOL. And this was made possible by the creative hand and taste of Chef Mark Holley, also from Texas. And as you read the recipe, you’ll find out that it contains all the vitamins and minerals the five food groups offer! Really, this recipe is perfect, and I never wanted to change a single bit of ingredient in it when I’ll prepare this food for my love ones.

The site is so amazing (if you love food like me :-D). Lots of chefs from all across America gather to join the cook off. I was so interested I even joined the "Trip to New Orleans" contest wherein they’re giving away a prize package which includes two Southwest Airline roundtrip tickets, hotel accommodations, dining experiences and a lot more! So if you wanna have the chance to enjoy a trip to New Orleans, as well as, enjoy a variety of healthy domestic seafood recipes, I greatly recommend that you come visit www.GreatAmericanSeafoodCookOff.com!

The Nutty Side Of Me

Have you ever felt that somehow the things that you do are way out of normal? Honestly I do. Sometimes I do have an obsessive-compulsive behavior (though I believe it’s just slight because I’m still perfectly aware of what I am doing LOL). Such as arranging my things and piling up my clothes in specific direction. The head-part should be facing away from the door, how odd could that be? I don’t know, I just don’t feel comfortable whenever things are out of place.

Good thing I’ve read an article from Reader’s Digest, Are You Normal or Nuts?, which somehow lessen my worries (thinking I’m not alone!). There you can read letters from readers who confided their worries to Reader’s Digest, which the latter had never failed to give answer, advice, and encouragement. My favorite is this one fellow who have trouble eating in front of strangers. As for myself, I could eat anywhere, with anyone! But when I was younger, I too, was guilty of this, especially during first dates LOL. But then after that I’d quickly defeat the shyness ( I’ll defeat everything, for food!).

I think there’s really nothing to worry about if you’re still aware of what you are doing and it does not hinder your day to day living. If you know you’re acting weird, and you can’t do anything to stop it, and it’s been interfering with your functions as a whole person, then and then you might need professional help or counseling. It’s better safe than sorry…

So my dear friends, if you’ve been feeling the same, I highly urge you to visit and read this site. It’s very helpful and informational. Have fun discovering your quirky side!

What a tough week!

Gemini (May 20 - Jun 20)
Seemingly inspiring exchanges about how you live and work could deteriorate into unwelcome squabbles. Since the issues involved are pivotal, discuss them frankly and thoroughly. Take it slowly, since things may not make sense until the week's close.
***So sad to hear that something inspiring could turn into disappointments. But anyway, I should manage to steer it to the right direction, and I believe everything will be all right. Courtesy of Friday Magazine, Gulf News.
Aries (Mar 20 - Apr 18)
Don't allow others' eagerness for quick solutions to problems make you ignore important facts. By the week's close these won't just be important, minor errors could lead to serious confusion. Within days, events give you an opportunity to resolve them.

Taurus (Apr 19 - May 19)
Upheavals with loved ones are never welcome but once you've delved into the actual situations involved you'll be thankful they took place. That's because they highlight, then force a serious discussion of issues you'd either regarded as unimportant or were unaware of.

Cancer (Jun 21 - Jul 21)
Recent changes have forced you to review certain habits you've regarded as unchanging. Disruptive as rearranging elements of your life may be, in the process you discover that there are remedies for persistent problems involving health issues and plans involving others.

Leo (Jul 22 - Aug 21)
While it's becoming clear that you have to rearrange financial matters or deal with obligations, these are not that urgent. For now focus on defining the exact problem and gathering facts. This will prepare you for early September's extraordinary opportunities.

Virgo (Aug 22 - Sep 21)
Unsettling as the questions being raised may be, what you learn will prove helpful around the time of next Saturday's new moon. This begins a cycle of change and clears the way for new and more rewarding projects and passions.

Libra (Sep 22 - Oct 22)
Obviously life will be easier when certain persistent issues have been resolved. Still, keep things loose until the week's close when both Mercury and Venus join Mars in your sign and boost your spirits and capacity to charm others into doing things your way.

Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 20)
Since the plans or projects currently at the forefront of your mind require serious teamwork, you'll need to take others' views into account at every stage. But the problem is that their thinking keeps changing dramatically. So keep things loose.

Sagittarius (Nov 21 - Dec 20)
Others are complaining about the way complications are slowing progress. But you've already noticed the potentially remarkable developments taking form and are relieved because delays enable you to explore them.

Capricorn (Dec 21 - Jan 19)
You're not exactly enthusiastic about investigating certain unsettling issues because they touch on concerns you've no idea how to handle. Still, face up to them now even if that means doing no more than defining them. Things will be clearer in early September.

Aquarius (Jan 20 - Feb 18)
Having to justify your ideas to others is irritating. However, their questions are illuminating and get you thinking about things you've simply accepted as unchanging. This enables you to deal with the changes triggered by the recent eclipse in a positive way.

Pisces (Feb 19 - Mar 19)
Forget about planning things. Each day brings its own changes, some expected but others as surprising as they are challenging. The latter prove rewarding as they force you to explore options that previously you'd regarded as uninteresting if not unwise.

All About Shoes

Let's face it, women love shoes. And the woman who gave me this tag loves them more LOL. Thank you K (The Nook) for sharing this tag to me, your shoes are quite lovely!

{Start Copy}

What’s your shoe size? Are your feet the same size as your mom’s feet? How about your sister’s feet? Can you borrow shoes from each other?

Post a picture of your latest shoe buy. Tag the number of women of your shoe size, i.e. size 5 = tag 5 friends. Don’t forget to drop a line in this blog when you’re done.

Honestly I like my shoes and sandals simple and flat. I really can't tolerate wearing high heels (though it doesn't stop me from envying women who casually wear them). I must admit that heels are so damn sexy, and I've always wanted to wear them (if only my feet would stop complaining after only five minutes of putting them on).

I've got feet of a giant, I think I'm a size 9 or something. And definitely we're not the same shoe size with my mother (I think she's wearing children shoes LOL peace mom!). Fortunately me and my younger sister share the same shoe size so we really could borrow each other shoes and sandals (imagine my disappointment when I want to wear my shoes just to find out she'd already put them on!).

Since I don't know if you guyz are crazy about shoes, I'm tagging all of you who are into shoe-mania! Have fun!

JaM's Intramurals Day!

It's sports & mind time in JaM's school last week, and even though I was not there to support her, I feel so proud of my daughter. I know she's not much of a dancer (like me LOL) but she'd sure done her best to give her best performance. She also joined the singing contest but unfortunately, my brother wasn't able to take her picture while singing. And they told me she got 4th place (yehey! great things start from small beginnings hehehe). Here are some of the pix:

Hey keep your hands off my baby!!!

Tired but still smiling... luv u JaM!

Have you read your horoscope this week?

Gemini (May 20 - Jun 20)
However enthusiastic you are about ideas, don't make promises or commit. That gives you the freedom to respond to changes. Certain individuals may be in a hurry to finalise plans but will be grateful that you prevented them from committing too early in the game.

***I've been using the "delaying tactics"lately. I'm really not yet ready to commit my whole life to him, however tempting his offer might be. Gosh, am I really that transparent, or Madam Strunckle is just so damn good?! She always hit the bull's eye! Read on to find out yours... (courtesy of Friday Magazine, Gulf News)

Aries (Mar 20 - Apr 18)
Because the eclipse at the beginning of the month has already shaken things up in situations involving loved ones, those triggered by this Saturday's lunar eclipse could actually bring issues to a head and lead to the necessary changes and resolutions.

Taurus (Apr 19 - May 19)
The sooner you realise that even disruptive changes in your life are leading to something wonderful, the more swiftly you'll begin enjoying this remarkable cycle. Explore everything and accept all intriguing offers. That enables you to consider what's valuable in your life.

Cancer (Jun 21 - Jul 21)
Events triggered by early August's solar eclipse focused your attention on gaps in your resources – this means everything from business or finances to time and even emotional support. Since then you've tackled these and achieved wonders.

Leo (Jul 22 - Aug 21)
Unsettling developments in close relationships isn't your idea of fun. However, they're accenting issues you've been unaware of or simply ignored. Since the feelings and events triggered by Saturday's lunar eclipse are inescapable, you may as well delve into them.

Virgo (Aug 22 - Sep 21)
Being cornered into making changes you're not ready for seems unfair, especially as these involve relinquishing arrangements you've worked hard to organise. However, these seemingly chaotic events are only clearing the way for the remarkable opportunities.

Libra (Sep 22 - Oct 22)
Recognising the value of intriguing but disruptive offers isn't easy. However, they're just the beginning of the six-week long cycle of personal growth triggered by Mars' move into Libra on Tuesday. To make the best of this cycle you should prioritise your desires.

Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 20)
Clashes with others or even your own concerns about the changes ushered in by August's two eclipses are unsettling. Still, they don't justify sticking with the familiar. Events around you make it clear that elements of your life must shift as well, often dramatically.

Sagittarius (Nov 21 - Dec 20)
Once you understand that whatever you do somebody will object, you've overcome this week's biggest challenge. So take golden opportunities therefore knowing that in time others will recognise their worth and you'll waste no time on lengthy explanations now.

Capricorn (Dec 21 - Jan 19)
Take an opportunity to travel, study or explore ideas dear to your heart, even if in doing so you must disrupt existing plans. The eclipses of August's first half have already upended numerous arrangements, so a little more chaos won't matter.

Aquarius (Jan 20 - Feb 18)
Selfish as ignoring others' pleas for support may be, they'll survive their crises. Besides, the personal insights and dramatic events triggered by Saturday's eclipsed Full Moon must come first. Unravelling how you'll benefit from these demands time and vision.

Pisces (Feb 19 - Mar 19)
Be as frank about what you're unhappy with as what delights you and everything else will fall into place. The problem is that with so many decisions in the hands of others, you'll need to be more forthright about your requirements than would ordinarily be the case.

Face Your Fears, Battle Your Demons

So it's Friday once again, my weekly horoscope post. Have fun!Gemini (May 20 - Jun 20)For ages you have been sidestepping issues on the domestic front and potentially painful conversations. Since strategising around these has become more troublesome than actually dealing with them, you're relieved when events force these out in the open.
***I agree that facing your fears is much much better than hiding from it. You get bruised along the way, but at the end of the day, you'll learn lessons that will make you a better and tougher person.***
Aries (Mar 20 - Apr 18)Conducting a review of existing arrangements or organising plans according to precise requirements isn't fun. However, since this week's theme of thoroughness is inescapable, you'd best tackle things properly once and for all. Taurus (Apr 19 - May 19)Frank discussions with loved ones aren't at the top of your agenda. However, the issues in question have plagued you for long enough that talking them through is a relief. Better yet, this ensures you're in the right frame of mind to make important decisions.
Cancer (Jun 21 - Jul 21)Since last Friday's eclipse you've been thinking about potential alterations in your life and whether your time and efforts are adequately valued. Still, play it cool, since situations remain unclear until August's second eclipse on the 16th.
Leo (Jul 22 - Aug 21)Dealing with the questions raised by the eclipsed new moon last Friday will take ages. Discuss the matter with others. This ensures everybody understands that things simply can't remain as they are and deepens close relationships. Virgo (Aug 22 - Sep 21)You'd rather face the truth than live a fantasy. Unfortunately those feelings aren't universal, which means being forthright about tricky situations could lead to difficulties. However, others will be thankful that you encouraged them to be as frank as you are. Libra (Sep 22 - Oct 22)Others have the impression you're happy leaving decisions to them while you've actually taken measures to ensure things go your way. However, recent developments have raised numerous uncertainties. Actually, you're better off on the sidelines than getting involved. Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 20)Waging a battle against potential changes in your life won't just waste time, it could actually prevent you from taking advantage of worthwhile opportunities. Hopefully, you're already discussing ideas with others. If not, then you've lots of catching up to do. Sagittarius (Nov 21 - Dec 20)Usually, saying yes to everything would be unwise. With dynamic changes triggered by August's two eclipses, however, it's a sound strategy, as it ensures nothing passes you by. That way, after the 16th you can eliminate what doesn't work. Capricorn (Dec 21 - Jan 19)Seemingly simple exchanges could prove informative or take you in an unexpected direction. Making the best of this requires flexibility, particularly when it comes to existing plans. That's fine, since you needn't worry about finalising commitments of any kind. Aquarius (Jan 20 - Feb 18)You've numerous questions about swiftly changing situations and your role in them. Obviously, you'll want to get things organised. But now, prior to the pivotal eclipsed Full Moon on the 16th, exploration should be your first priority. Pisces (Feb 19 - Mar 19)Some people are excited about the changes currently sweeping through everybody's life, while others are complaining nonstop. Let them. If they haven't already spotted the potential behind those changes, nothing you say or do will enlighten them.

***Hope you had fun reading your horoscope, feel free to leave comments, have a great day ahead for all of us!***

Burj Al Arab @ Night

We often stroll along Jumeirah Beach at night, just looking at the glaring city lights and the fabulous sky scrapers which are lined up on the opposite side of the beach. One time when I was staring at the magnificent Burj Al Arab Hotel on the left side, the sailboat-shaped building was glimmering with different shades of color, and when it turned pink, I took a shot using my mobile phone. Though it was not much of a good shot, this photo is still my favorite coz I can call it my own. The awesome display of dancing lights will be stored in my memory forever.
Also check this link http://www.photogb-log.com/2008/05/favorite-photos.html to see a very fantastic view of some of the beautiful islands in Hawaii. Enjoy guys! Have a wonderful day...

More of JaM

This post is especially dedicated to one of my blogger friends, Rochelle, who specifically requested more photos of my one and only baby Jamjam. But I do hope you’ll all like it! Here are some new pix of her and some old ones which we took before I came here in Dubai.

During the wedding of one of my closest friends, Jinky & Doodz. She’s just gorgeous, and I so wanted to be with her, so I could play the proudest mama in whole wide world.

Tall and slender, just like me (hehehe way mupalag!)

At People’s Park, Davao City. Taken a day before my scheduled departure to Dubai. I remember this day to be too much emotional.

When we were still in each other’s arms, oh I miss the feel and smell of her every single day!

During her Christmas Party @ school. I’m so excited she’s playing Santa Clause that I personally made her outfit, I wanted her to be extra special that day, and I was not disappointed. Though I was so ill with guilt afterwards coz she had an asthma attack due to the feathers on her costume, damn feathers! But anyway she recovered quickly, thanks to my tender loving care LOL.

Thanks for spending some of your precious time to read this post. Come back again, mmmmmmmwah!

Got a New Haircut!

Summer is really getting into me, I've been having a bad hair day lately. My hair felt so dry and damaged. So I decided to have it cut. I kissed all the split ends away, and now it feels so light and new. My never ending thanks to my good friend Ash, through his expert hands and borrowed scissors, made this all possible. But when and where we did it brought a lot of thrill and excitement (I'm not allowed to tell!). Really we could be breaking records on the fastest haircut done ever in fear of being caught.

I wish I could enjoy the summer here like any other continents in the world, but really the scorching heat is too much anyone can bear. Guess I'll just have to wait for the winter to come fast. Have a great weekend everyone!

What my stars say this week

I feel really selfish posting just my zodiac sign in here, so I'm making up to you guyz by posting all of the signs from now on. Courtesy by Gulf News'Friday Magazine, feel free to grab it!Gemini (May 20 - Jun 20)
While you'll easily spot the potential in the cycle of change that commences with the eclipsed new moon today and continues until midmonth, others won't. Consequently, your major challenge could be preventing them from battling worthwhile developments.
***Really my horoscope just keeps getting better, and everything at work as well. Guess my stars started aligning well these past few days.***

Aries (Mar 20 - Apr 18)
Certain habits which involve everything from your health to work have been troublesome. While you may not recognise the events triggered by Wednesday's clash between Mars and Uranus as resolving these, they will. The trick, therefore, is to bow to destiny.
Taurus (Apr 19 - May 19)
When sudden changes are triggered by today's solar eclipse, resist the temptation to regain the status quo. That way, by midweek you'll recognise these as being part of a larger and ultimately extremely worthwhile pattern of change that will benefit your lifestyle.
Cancer (Jun 21 - Jul 21)
Ultimately what you learn, about both certain situations and yourself, will justify the challenging situations and tides of emotion triggered by August's two eclipses, today and on the 16th. Still, dilemmas could seem overwhelming.
Leo (Jul 22 - Aug 21)
Don't be surprised if you feel confused. Today's eclipsed new moon is about disentangling yourself from the past. In certain situations plans have been bogging you down, while in others you'll have been seeking change. Ba patient. Things will unfold soon.
Virgo (Aug 22 - Sep 21)
Ordinarily you'd either sidestep enforced changes in your routine or devise ways to adapt. But the events triggered by August's two eclipses are strangely unsettling. Not only is everybody influenced by these but in your case they're breaking up restrictive patterns.
Libra (Sep 22 - Oct 22)
Forget about smoothing out ruffled feathers. Now, upsets of any variety are best discussed openly. Counter-productive as this seems now, by midweek you're discussing issues frankly. These exchanges, triggered by eclipses, result in stunning improvements.
Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 20)
Events may be unexpected or inconvenient, but they're still in your best interests. For ages you've suspected a major reorganisation of your work or lifestyle was looming. Now August's eclipses kick-start it, although perhaps not quite as you'd have envisioned.
Sagittarius (Nov 21 - Dec 20)
Change is in the air. Knowing this, you'd prefer to get going. But not everybody is as keen. Plus, August's eclipses will alter circumstances, others' thinking and your own perspective on the future. Take things one day at a time, and you'll enjoy this remarkable cycle.
Capricorn (Dec 21 - Jan 19)
Others are buzzing with new ideas. But you are cautious and want to know more. You will know plenty by early September's planetary activity. But now each day brings changes and offers, and you're reluctant to commit. Actually, you should consider the offers.
Aquarius (Jan 20 - Feb 18)
Discerning between changes that influence others, your environment and, ultimately, you and those that have to do with deeply personal matters may not be easy. Today's eclipse focuses on the former, and triggers numerous overdue changes.
Pisces (Feb 19 - Mar 19)
Don't confuse the intense clashes triggered by Wednesday's run-in between Mars and Uranus in Pisces with the larger cycle of change. The latter, which starts with today's eclipse and continues until midmonth, ushers in much needed changes in numerous situations.
