Life Is What We Make It

Gemini (May 20 - Jun 20)
There's a fine line between making it clear you're interested in someone's ideas and making a commitment. If you can manage to do that now, you'll ensure they know you're serious about ventures, but can continue to explore the range of new and intriguing ones.

***I've already made a commitment, a huge one that could definitely alter my life and my career. I know I must make a decision, and it's now or never. Life's a continuous risk, but God will always be there with us along the way. That's the beauty of it.

Aries (Mar 20 - Apr 18)
You're just beginning to understand the extent of the changes triggered by July's eclipses. These have substantially altered the circumstances of you and others. Disruptive as this has been, it's freed you to pursue ideas that were unrealistic.

Taurus (Apr 19 - May 19)
Listen to every idea that comes your way. Initially, they'll seem improbable. Reflect on them further, however, and gradually you'll realise that one or two are ideal, even if they're different from what you had in mind.

Cancer (Jun 21 - Jul 21)
As the new cycle begins, you must say farewell to elements of the past. This isn't easy. First, because there are sentimental reasons. But also, what's new is still untried and so you're inclined to hold on to the familiar. The sooner you let go, the better.

Leo (Jul 22 - Aug 21)
Disagreements that began as minor quibbles with partners on the domestic front have turned into serious differences. Ordinarily, you'd ignore these, hoping the situation would get better. But not only is this getting worse now, you've begun to realise the longer you wait to tackle things, the more complicated resolving them will be.

Virgo (Aug 22 - Sep 21)
While you're capable of tact, the sensitivity of one individual has meant tiptoeing around issues that must be dealt with frankly. Urgent as these seem, say little until August 2. Even the trickiest of exchanges will go far better.

Libra (Sep 22 - Oct 22)
Don't assume the difficulties you're facing are yours alone to deal with. Others are ready and eager to share the responsibility for coming up with a solution that everybody can live with. Talk these over now. The more forthright you are the better.

Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 20)
Obviously, before you undertake changes that would involve others, you want to ensure they're happy about your plans. Discuss them briefly. Encourage these exchanges and you'll draw them out and could use them as an excuse to avoid taking things to the next stage.

Sagittarius (Nov 21 - Dec 20)
With Venus and Mars powerfully aspecting your ruler Jupiter this week, exciting new ideas and developments could alter existing arrangements. Tempting as it is to plunge into the first opportunity, explore them all. This ensures you're aware of all your options.

Capricorn (Dec 21 - Jan 19)
The problem with new ideas you're considering isn't the things involved. They're some of the most exciting you've come across. It's that you've no reason to pursue them, so could have difficulty justifying them to others. Tell them you're following your instincts.

Aquarius (Jan 20 - Feb 18)
There are polite disagreements, and then there's the dance you're doing with others. You're pretending you're in accord when you are not. Yet you refuse to admit that there's a gulf between their views and yours. If you're ever to agree on anything, this is a vital first step.

Pisces (Feb 19 - Mar 19)
At this juncture in planning, you can't afford the time that dealing with misunderstandings would require. This means you owe it to yourself to catch even the most minor of issues the moment they arise. Tedious as maintaining such vigilance may be, it's easier than contending with complications later in the game.

Information Sharing

Living in such a modern world as this have its pros and cons. Not so long ago, we still flip pages of books to find essential information regarding our homework, but nowadays we could find everything with the tips of our fingers. The power of world wide web. Just type it and within seconds you’ll easily have what you’re looking for.

There are lots of people out there who are willing to share information, all at no cost, so why spend when you can have it for free? If you are into games, videos, and music, you should Search Rapidshare Links. Rapid4Me is a rapidshare and mega upload search engine that houses the best collections of games, music, videos, and a whole lot more of software applications.

Though the internet poses risks to our privacy, the benefits we get still outweigh the danger. Just use it wisely and with caution.

The Perfect Gift

The moment I knew I was pregnant, I was dumbfounded with sheer happiness. It was such a wonderful feeling. So I know what my friend Belle is feeling right now... she's ecstatic, and so is Carlo.

Congratulations guyz, I'm sure you will make wonderful and outstanding parents. Keep on loving each other...

Trusted Web Hosting

Choosing a website name can be very easy. You can pick whatever cool names you want as long as it's not yet taken by somebody else. But the job doesn't end there. If you want to have a functioning website, that is, searchable by almost all famous search engines in the web, you need to publish it to the world wide web. And that's where web site hosting providers come into the picture. And mind you there are lots of them offering you products and services which might seem pretty much the same if you aren't paying close enough attention to important details.

I just published my own website a couple of weeks ago, and now I'm wondering if I've made a wise decision back then. Though it's still early to get upset now, I just couldn't help but regret I haven't come across this webhosting article before I made the purchase. True I had it cheap, but there are some things I want to do and put in my site that are not so easy with my current web hosting provider. But they keep on improving their services, so I hope it would be much user-friendly later.

That's why don't make the same mistake I did. If you are planning to acquire a webhosting plan, be very sure that you are well-informed in all its facets. There are many bogus companies out there, but there are also lots of dedicated server hosts you can choose from. Follow the links now, and save yourself from heartaches and frustrations due to bad hosting services.

New Moon...Soon!

Watch this yummy thriller of the Twilight Saga, New Moon. I think this one is much more exciting than the first, with Jake rising up to fight for Bella's love. I like the scene where he reveals his true identity to save Bella, so freakin' romantic. Vampires and werewolves just couldn't be in one place, at one time.

Missing Spa

I remembered all too well when I was in Taiwan, we adored going to spa for a bit of relaxation. I could still smell the aromatic fragrance of the flower petals and the soothing effects of the steam. The place really defined the word relaxation. And they kept the place clean and well-maintained for extra customer satisfaction. They even put on spa covers after every session to keep their facilities in good running condition.

I would really love to go to a spa here, I missed the feeling, but it's incredibly expensive. Maybe when I get home, I'll go visit one and just relax.

I'm Going Home!

After so many bouts of hesitation and uncertainty, I finally found the courage to spill it all out. I have decided, and talked to my manager about quitting my job. I'm finally going home this first week of October. Good thing she's a very understanding and broad-minded woman, and she approved with my plan to practice nursing in the Philippines first, and then see where this will lead me. There's a chance that I might come back here, so I won't say goodbye for good yet.

Jamjam was so thrilled when she knew about it. And I can't wait to be with her again. I just hope and pray that I'm making the right decision.

When my mind and body is filled with so much stress and tension, I just want to retreat to my safe haven. I bet every inch of your discomfort will vanish if you’ll lie in a bedroom as extravagant as this…

Lovely isn’t it? There’s more in store for you. You can choose the perfect one for you by checking out their selections of Italian bedroom sets. All regally designed to suit your modern lifestyle.

Can't Wait To Go Home...

I miss my long hair ;-)

I haven't logged on to my friendster account for ages, so when I saw this photo (uploaded by Cherry, the one with the hat on), I recall how excited I was to see my family.

This photo was taken at Singapore Airport while we were waiting for our connecting flight to Davao City. I haven't known these girls before, we just met at the airport in Dubai. Since we have the same destination, and we speak the same dialect, we immediately clicked. It's amazing how people could connect to one another even though they're complete strangers.

We really had a good time then, I wonder if I could meet them all again here in Dubai.

Home Sweet Home

Now that my big brother is at home, I know he will focus on home maintenance and filling our small house with new and useful housewares. He told me he's planning to buy new cabinets for our kitchen utensils and food supply storage to keep our kitchen neat and well-organized. But I'm hoping he will accessorize our bathroom, make it a cozier place by putting up cool bathroom organizers and fashionable shower curtains. A sweet and fresh smell everytime you enter your bathroom is very welcoming and relaxing.

He is also very meticulous when it comes to household cleanliness. He will scrutinize every edge and corner so dirt and dust can run but they can never hide! I'm very sure that when he's done with our house, it will sparkle and shine with cleanliness. But wait till Arena will finish her job, it won't take her long to mess the place again.

I think my brother should know how useful and helpful ShopWiki is. I'm sure he'll be very interested in almost everything this amazing online store has to offer. They are not only selling, they make sure that you are buying the right stuff.

Welcome Home Kuya!

My Kuya Jun just arrived after months of being away. He's working as a second officer for a large tanker ship company. He called me up from the hospital because they're visiting Jamjam there. I can hear the excitement from Jam's voice, she couldn't wait to go home coz she knows that there are lots of chocolates and toys waiting for her at home.

Anyway I'm so thankful that my brother is willing to help me (he has always been helpful to us). He's willing to support me with my decision to quit my job here and pursue my nursing career in the Philippines and be near with my baby. I really wish everything will turn out to be all right.

Welcome home Big Bro! Wish you a very enjoyable and exciting vacation.

Culture Preservation

Two of our beloved doctors got married just recently, and they're both so proud to show us the photos of their weddings. There were lots of food, but what I liked most are their traditional and very colorful wedding dresses. Eventhough we are living in a modern world nowadays, Indian people loves their culture so much they will do everything to preserve it.

They are such festive people. I think they have celebrations for all occasions, even those small ones and those we think are unimportant. They are very loyal to their culture and love their own products. One friend of mine told me he only buys Mens Wear from India, because they are very durable and not very expensive. And from what I can see of his wardrobes, definitely he's telling the truth.

I love this place so much. So many memories, so hard to forget... Whenever I come to this place, I feel like everything and anything is possible.

Best Orthodontist In NY

I have always wanted to straighten up and perfectly align my teeth. Crooked teeth are just so off. I could not really express myself every time I'm laughing or even just smiling because I am worried that people will notice my stubborn tooth. I feel so conscious and unnatural. I kept planning to get one, but my friends were telling me the horrors of having braces. The grueling pain you have to go through, especially in the initial stage of the treatment. They said they could barely open their mouth, much less eat! Crap, then I have second thoughts. They kept on telling me "no pain, no gain". Indeed, one must sacrifice in order to be beautiful, but they just have to convince me more.

So if you are looking for an orthodontist in NY, I think Hanson Place Orthodontics is the best place to be. There are lots of orthodontists in NY, but only few are very good. Like Hanson Place Orthodontics. These people manage to convince me otherwise. Contrary to what my friends were telling, braces doesn't have to hurt for it to work. We might be having a little discomfort at first, but nothing like pain-reliever couldn't remedy. So now I'm thinking again of finally having braces. Should I get it here or should I wait until I go home?

Be Strong JaM!

I could never explain what i felt yesterday when I knew that Jamjam was admitted in the hospital. She's a known case of asthma, but her attacks were mild, and she was never confined in a hospital before. I just want them to do the flu test for her, just to make sure that she's not infected with swine flu. But the doctor insisted on admitting her due to very low oxygen saturation.

I couldn't breathe, I was shivering, and I was vomiting a lot. I dreaded this the most, that my baby will fall sick and I'm not there to care for her. Instead, I'm taking care of somebody else's child. Now my decision is final, I'm going home. I'll just finish my 18 months here, then I'll be free to be with my baby. And it is very soon, 2 months more.

But I'm glad she's recuperating fast, though she's still in the hospital. The doctor said she may have to stay for 2 more days because there's a lot of phlegm in her lungs. The diagnosis is: Asthma with Bronchopneumonia. She's really bored in the hospital. She told me that if her doctor won't allow her to go home tomorrow, she'll give her a black eye LOL. Naughty girl, though I know she's just kidding. I just wish she could be home by tomorrow night.

Perfect Nose

I've known quite a lot of people who have undergone rhinoplasty, or most commonly known as "nose lift". It is a very common and popular surgery all over the world. But it doesn't mean that you have to take the procedure for granted. Every surgery entails risks and on the other hand benefits. So if you're planning to have one, make sure you are well researched and informed.

And because it is common and simple, there are lots of competition. Any doctor could promise you a beautiful result, but with an ugly effect on your budget. So you need to be wise and know the different Rhinoplasty costs that suits you well, physically and financially.

I've read that undergoing such basic surgery in the UK would cost you less than in your home country. It's like hitting two birds in one stone: be operated by the best surgeons in the world while saving some money to roam Europe!

Get Well Soon JaM!

I was so alarmed and worried today. I just knew that Jamjam had cough and fever, and on top of that their school suspended classes until Wednesday because of several suspected swine flu cases. I feel so lonely and far, I want to go home and just take care of my baby. All I can do is pray that it's nothing more than her usual mild asthma attacks.

I told my father to bring her to the hospital to have a check up and flu test. I hope everything will be normal and fine.

Anyway, I got this useful info (from About.com: Pediatrics) regarding swine flu to help you prevent and manage this infamous pandemic virus:

Swine Flu Basics

Although the name 'swine flu' brings up a lot of extra fear and worry, it is important to note that swine flu is just an influenza A H1N1 virus.

That means that it is just another type of flu virus, just like that causes our typical seasonal flu symptoms. The big difference is that the current swine influenza A (H1N1) virus has components of pig and bird influenza viruses in it, so that humans don't have any immunity to it. That makes it more likely to become a pandemic virus (have the ability to cause a global outbreak) if it can easily spread from person-to-person.

Swine Flu Symptoms

According to the CDC, like seasonal flu, symptoms of swine flu infections can include:

  • fever, which is usually high, but unlike seasonal flu, is sometimes absent
  • cough
  • runny nose or stuffy nose
  • sore throat
  • body aches
  • headache
  • chills
  • fatigue or tiredness, which can be extreme
  • diarrhea and vomiting, sometimes, but more commonly seen than with seasonal flu

Signs of a more serious swine flu infection might include pneumonia and respiratory failure.

If your child has symptoms of swine flu, you should avoid other people and call your pediatrician who might do a rapid flu test to see if he has an influenza A infection. Further testing can then be done to see if it is a swine flu infection. (Samples are being sent to local and state health departments and the CDC for confirmation of swine flu.)

Serious Swine Flu Symptoms

More serious symptoms that would indicate that a child with swine flu would need urgent medical attention include:

  • Fast breathing or trouble breathing
  • Bluish or gray skin color
  • Not drinking enough fluids
  • Severe or persistent vomiting
  • Not waking up or not interacting
  • Being so irritable that the child does not want to be held
  • Flu-like symptoms improve but then return with fever and worse cough
Don't take your children's health for granted, consult a physician right away.

Must-have Satellite TV

People have been watching television for ages. It's like part of our daily lives. We turn it on early in the morning while we are preparing and having breakfast. And as we go home from work, no matter how tired we are, we look for the remote control and just press it on to know what's happening in our city or even around the world. But as the rate of inflation doubles, cable rates are increasing much more!

That's why people are looking for new alternatives in TV programming, and Direct TV is the perfect alternative. Why go for expensive cable network when you can have so much more? Crystal clear pictures, more available channels, high definition programming, and a lot cheaper than your current cable provider is charging you!

I know there are lots of satellite TV providers and you don't know which one truly offers the best of your money. Worry no more, Kaptain Satellite is always ready to lend a helping hand. They'll provide you with the best comparison and recommendation with regards to your satellite TV needs, and how to easily find them in your area. For more detailed comparison between Directv vs. Dish, follow the links and make the change.

We were so desperate for an admission today that even this poor boy balloon received a very warm welcome from us. I just hope he will enjoy his stay...

Have a nice day everyone!

Got Nothing To Do

Paeds and NICU had been really quiet these past few days. I know we complain a lot if we are so busy in our work, but just waiting for the time and doing nothing is far more worse. So I look for something to occupy myself and resuscitate my eyes LOL.

Among the balloons, wish they will fly and take me along with them.

It's not so difficult to guess that they had a baby girl, judging by the color of the ballons ;-D

Stinging Ants

Have you been bitten by queen fire ants? Talking from personal experience you wouldn't want to go anywhere near them or their colony. They are very vicious and poisonous, and they bite really painfully.

So if your home or your yard is infested with these little creatures, the link above is a must-visit page. It contains almost everything you need to know about fire ants and how you could kick them out of your home and property.

Bought A New Website

Finally after a series of failed attempts and hesitations whether to buy a new website or not, I found the courage to risk my hard-earned money and just purchase the freakin' website LOL. It's not much though coz I made sure to choose the cheapest yet functional one.

I just pray it will be a success and it will open a new and exciting world of opportunities for me in this vast internet world. So to all my blogger friends, please do support my new blog called Jam's Corner. See you all there!

Have a great day...

Dust-Free Carpets

I'm really not fond of staying in our living room coz I prefer the solace and the comfort only my bedroom can provide. But since I've been asleep all day, thought I would stay up for the night and blog the night away. So I need to stay in the sala because my room mate is already asleep coz she still have to work early tomorrow.

As I browse the net, someone I don't want to talk to called me, and we talked like forever. In the middle of our conversation, (for need of something to focus to than what he was saying) I noticed that our carpet is just about due for cleaning. I could not remember it cleaned since I came to live here. But I don't know where to send it for cleaning. I wish there's a company who will just pick it up and drop it when it's all new and clean.

I'm looking for carpet cleaners offering the same services
that Sparkling Clean Of Georgia can provide. They are a legend in Atlanta carpet cleaning and other household cleaning services. How I wish they have a branch here in Dubai, so we could enjoy the great quality services they provide.

Torn

Love is really unfathomable, it is beyond complicated I must say. And I warn you not to try to comprehend it, for you might just lose yourself within its vastness. Just feel it, you're lucky if everything is smooth sailing with your relationship. But if it's currently chaotic, it just plain sucks (pardon me), but you gotta deal with it.

Why is it so difficult to love somebody whose beliefs and culture are the exact opposite from yours? Or do I need to ask more? I thought love would conquer all our differences but I'm beginning to doubt it now. I know I shouldn't lose faith in love, but when I'm feeling this down and confused and hurt, it's so hard to be optimistic.

Whenever I'm with him, I'm happy because I love him, but some part of me is screaming for just a drop of independence. He's swallowing me whole (figuratively speaking LOL) and I just want my own personality and freedom back. Is it too much to ask? And now that I'm finally free, I just feel so empty. I'm not sure if I made the right decision, I might be letting go of something very rare and special in exchange of my freedom, but who will tell me what is right or wrong? Love abandoned me just when I needed it the most. I just hope I won't regret this for the rest of my life.

We Need An Oven!

I haven't really realized the importance of ovens until I came here and work in Dubai. Since I'm cooking my own food and not sharing it with anyone, I've got to deal with cold left overs. I tell you, an oven is such a miracle worker, your food will taste just like newly cooked ones. I think a red toaster would look lovely in one corner of our kitchen.

Though buying one may seem a simple task, it actually needs a careful look not just on the price and brand, but most especially the durability and quality of the product. I highly recommend that you follow the link. it's a great guide if you plan on purchasing a new oven.

Let Me Go!

Like her cool shades? LOL

Oh this baby is huge and heavy but very cute. We couldn't resist having a photo session with her. We are not so busy these days that we have time to do things like this. Though low census isn't really good for the business, it's nice to have a little time for ourselves.

Happy weekend to everyone!!!

Sleep In The Clouds

I had one air mattress which I bought in Taiwan a few years ago. It was not as fancy as the ones available now. But it was one of those types which came out in the market when air beds was first launched. My family was so excited to expand it and sleep in it. I was so satisfied seeing them comfortably snuggled and sleeping peacefully in the amazing air bed.

But it pales in comparison with the elevated queen air mattress. It looks very comfortable and feels like you're sleeping in the clouds. There are many brands to choose from, but I suggest you visit the link to find out which is the best one for you, quality and budget wise.

The Youngest

Today we admitted the youngest baby in the history of NICU, Welcare. Though the weight is just 970 grams, it's not totally bad for a gestational age of 24 weeks! We had a 29 weeker weighing just 900 grams before (but he's one of the triplets, so that could justify it).

Anyway, the baby is on ventilator (of course LOL), with very strict vital signs and ABG monitoring. I can see how hard he's struggling to breathe (or was it just the vent?), and I hope and pray that he will survive. We had very small babies who were successful in kicking death's ass before, but they're not this young. But as I keep on saying, nothing is impossible with God.

I want to take some pictures and place it here but I'm concerned with the confidentiality matters, so just imagine a tiny baby ( the size almost the same as a 12 oz bottle), trying so hard to live to see what this world has to offer him.

Feel The Thrill

Deep inside I know that I'm an adventurous kind of person, I love the thrill of the unknown. It's just that time and certain situations are preventing me from expressing myself. Now kayaking is one of those adventures that I'd love to experience before I get too old to enjoy the experience. I've read that kayaks in myrtle beach south carolina are worth every cent you will ever spend.

Martle Beach is a paradise offering different kinds of leisure such as golfing and enjoying their exciting water sports. Or if you're not in the sporty side, you can still enjoy the amazing views and the fabulous tours they offer.

Do You Believe In Magic?

I want to go to this place, where dreams do come true and magic do exist, Disneyland. Situated in Paris, this theme park is catering more to families with several services and amenities that will make life easier and the expereince more fun for all of the guests. But I'm most interested in their wild and exciting rides, literally breath-taking!

I'm dying to go there so I did a little research. You need to have at least Dh2,895 to enjoy the majestic place with one night stay free at any Hilton property. But I'm sure one day will never be enough. I know this seems a lot of money, but I think it will be worth the experience.
